Michigan 2029: Defensive Talent Drawing Scout Attention

The Prep Soccer state rankings for Michigan's 2029 class will be updated this week. Prior to the release of the new rankings, check out a scouting report on some of the defenders and goalkeepers with elite attributes catching the eye of scouts from this group.    Lusky is a center back on the [program_tooltip program_id='283695' first='Michigan' last='Jaguars'] Girls Academy team. She has been a part of numerous US Soccer Talent ID events. She's also been scouted as part of the Gotham FC Player Pathway Combine.   Lusky is a five-foot-10 defender who can play right or left center back. She is right footed. She can defend on-ball or be the support defender who organizes the back line. She has been a dominant defender in the 2010 age group at the Girls Academy level.   Her best attributes are on the ball. She is comfortable building out of the back against pressure and shows good decision-making on the ball. Lusky possess the physical traits and athleticism to suggest she will be an early contributor at a top college program.     Foguth is an outside back on the [program_tooltip program_id='276692' first='Nationals' last=''] 2010/2011 ECNL team. She previously played for Michigan Hawks.   She is a lockdown right back with a bite to her game in the tackle. She's aggressive getting into the challenge and fearless in the 1v1 situations. Her defensive instincts and tenacious play are the strengths of her game. She can be an elite defender on the wing.   She can get into the attack and whip in a cross, but her ability to stop the opposition in the key point of her scouting profile. She has excellent recovery speed and quick feet in the challenge. She uses her body well in shielding players away from the ball.   Foguth has all the tools to be a top defender in the ECNL this season.     Christianson is a midfielder on the Michigan Hawks Magic 2010/2011 ECNL team. She was named to the ECNL Midwest All-Conference First Team last season. She was the only player on her team to earn that honor. She's also been a highly decorated member of the Olympic Development Program including earning a spot on the National Select Team.   She is being listed as a prospect among the defenders because there is a versatility to her game. She can play as a box-to-box midfielder and did often last season. She could also develop into an elite center back. She has the towering height, comfort on the ball, and soccer intelligence to thrive in that role.   Christianson quickly stands out from game film for her height in the center of the pitch. After a few moments, it's obvious she's a got the mind for the game too. She does a lot of the little things well for her position - including checking her shoulder before receiving the ball and moving off the ball to create passing lanes.   Christianson has impacted the game for her team at every level and has the potential to continue to be that elite type of talent in whichever role her team utilizes her in the future.     Hendricks is a defender on the [program_tooltip program_id='332232' first='Michigan' last='Tigers'] Girls Academy team. She is a five-foot-nine center back. She is right-footed but can play right or left center back.   Hendricks has a well-rounded game. Her ability to connect long passes is one of her elite traits. She has a strong leg and great technique to hit the ball with accuracy over distance. She is also good at reading the opposition and jumping into passing lanes.   The other elite aspect of her game is her ability in aerial duels. She's a weapon on set pieces. She gets into the right spot and finishes off chances. She's one of the best in this class in that area.     Dolski is a goalkeeper on the Michigan Hawks 2010/2011 ECNL team. She previously played for the club's Magic team in the 2011 age group. She's quietly and quickly emerged as an elite shot-stopper in this class.   Dolski has quick reactions, good hands, and a fearless attitude. She instills a ton of confidence in her teammates. She's capable of changing the game with her play in goal. Dolski has made some outstanding saves on penalty kicks in the past. She's also blocked off breakaways with her anticipation and quick reactions off the line.   She is going to be in the spotlight with her new team as the most important player on the field.
