Nevada Girls Class of 2027: Six uncommitted forwards to know

<p>College recruiters continue to evaluate players from the Class of 2027 and there are a number of talented girls from Nevada who could draw interest. A handful of those standouts put their skills on display during the first week of the high school and club seasons.<br>Here are six of the state's notable uncommitted forwards worth keeping an eye on throughout this season.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Morales is one of the top flag football players in the state but also is a standout on the soccer field. She uses her quickness to create chances, scoring 33 goals in her first three seasons on varsity. Morales opened the season with a goal and an assist for her high school team during the season-opening South Tahoe Soccer Showcase.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Mecham is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front line in a 4-3-3 but often operates as a wide attacker. Gordon scored 12 goals and added four assists to earn Northern 4A High Desert League Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and helped her high school squad win the league title.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">A prolific goal scorer at the high school level, Rosas produced 33 goals as a sophomore and had 19 goals and 18 assists as a junior when her team won the Nevada 4A state title. She is expected to shine at the GA level on a talented club team.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Mendoza usually plays up and down the flank rather than as an out-and-out striker. She has a high motor with the strength to hold off defenders and the speed to get past them in 1v1 situations. She has an array of nifty moves on the ball and finished with 18 goals and 10 assists as a junior, helping her high school team win the Nevada 3A state title.</p>
