Summer Success Sparks Movement in California's 2029 Rankings

The updated Prep Soccer state rankings for the 2029 class for California will be out next week. Prior to the release of the rankings, check out a scouting report on some of the players moving up thanks to their play over the summer.    Teel was a new addition to the So Cal Blues 2011 ECNL squad last season. She was previously a standout in the Girls Academy for [program_tooltip program_id='283470' first='SDSC' last='Surf']. Teel came up big in the playoffs especially in the championship game. The forward had a terrific assist on [player_tooltip player_id='335175' first='Kate' last='Cintron']'s goal against Concorde Fire Platinum.   Teel has fit in perfectly to the Blues style of play. She's a hardworking forward with good skill. She's got a physical style of play and a fearless approach to pressing. Teel is an elite prospect who will get to train against some of the top defenders in this class daily - as well as benefit from having some Youth National Team talent playing the provider role in the midfield.     Signorile is in the discussion as the best left back in this class. She was exceptional during the ECNL playoffs. Seattle Reign (NWSL) invited her to the Youth Combine this month (August).   The Blues style of play tends to keep the outside backs in a more reserved approach. They will get forward when the opportunity opens up, but the strategy puts a lot on the players to decide on when to get into the attack. Signorile is excellent at identifying those times and making the most of them.   Best yet, she's exceptional at keeping her team balanced and eliminating the counter from the opposition. She's good in the tackle and quick to get the ball off her feet. She's not a flashy outside back, but she's consistent and shuts down the winger. She's going to be a star at the next level.     A lynchpin of the So Cal Blues national championship squad, Harris is a defensive midfielder who controls the game. She was outstanding during the playoff run. She controlled where the game was played and rarely made a mistake in possession of the ball.   Harris earned an invite to the Seattle Reign Youth Combine. She is probably going to be a standout in that event as well. The soccer smarts will translate on any field.     Beard is an attacking talent on the [program_tooltip program_id='283733' first='Sacramento' last='United'] 2011 GA team. She's a multisport athlete (football and lacrosse). When she's on the soccer field, the competitiveness and athleticism shine through. She runs through challenges and gets shots on goal through traffic. Beard has game-breaking talent in the attack.     Ballardo is one of the standouts from the ECNL RL in Northern California. She's a midfielder who is excellent on the ball. She has a good first touch and the quality to keep control with a defender on her back.   Ballardo is splendid on dead ball situations. She has scored a couple of goals directly off corner kicks in recent games. She's got excellent delivery and perfect technique in ball striking.     Silva is a box-to-box midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283295' first='City' last='SC'] 2011 GA team. She has been part of Girls Academy Talent ID events in the past. She's also been called into US Soccer Talent ID events.   She's a terrific two-way player. She is ferocious defensively. She had a couple of clean slide tackles in the middle of the field during the playoffs. She's also smart in her positioning and cuts out a ton of passes.   Silva is a quick-thinking midfielder who makes good decisions on the ball. She plays with her head up and looks to spring the attack when her team has the advantage. She can also improvise when the play breaks down and finds her other options to help retain possesion.
