Fall 2026 HS Rankings: 2030's and 2029s to Impact the Score Sheet

With the high school soccer season underway and the United Soccer Coaches unveiling their new Girls High School Top 25 Rankings, excitement is building across the country. The first wave of competition will feature programs with championship pedigrees, redemption arcs, and a host of underclassmen eager to make their mark. Among these talented teams, a new crop of freshmen and sophomores is ready to step into the spotlight. Either by announcing themselves on the high school scene or building on early success. Here are the young midfielders and forwards to watch as the high school season unfolds.    Heading into her freshman year at the nation's top-ranked school, Cahill will look to make an immediate impact at Rutgers Prep. Versatile enough to play both center back and defensive midfielder, she brings a commanding presence to the middle of the pitch. Cahill uses her physicality and exceptional off-the-ball timing to win possession. Defensively, her speed and ability to track back allow her to shut down opposing attacks. As both a midfielder and defender, she has the vision to pick out incisive through balls that create goal-scoring opportunities. Additionally, Cahill has shown she can find the back of the net herself. Further proving she can be an impactful addition to the Rutgers team.     Arancibia, a dynamic forward, is set to make her mark in the high school soccer scene with her off-the-ball movement, speed, and impressive dribbling ability. Playing for one of the top schools in the country, she aims to have an immediate impact on the pitch. She has already showcased her playmaking skills by adding several assists to her stat sheet. With her quick directional changes and powerful striking ability, it's only a matter of time before she starts tallying goals for Jesuit as well.     Ettinger brings a next-level presence in transition, pairing her ability to strike from distance with a relentless work rate. She reads the game well defensively, using instinctive positioning to disrupt play and spark quick counters. On the ball, she creates separation with sharp footwork and body control, consistently opening up passing lanes. Once she finds space, Ettinger's field vision takes over. She spots opportunities early and delivers the kind of service that puts her teammates in scoring positions. Furthermore, her blend of awareness and execution makes her one to watch this highschool season with Greenwich.     Coming off a standout performance as the first-ever International Select Team Player of the Tour in England with Girls Academy, Brown enters her sophomore season at Rye carrying significant momentum. From midfield to the final third, Brown stands out for her confidence and speed on the ball, consistently making her presence felt. Her ability to drive play forward and take on defenders adds a dynamic edge to Rye's attack. Consequently, she is expected to be a difference-maker as the season unfolds.     Waide sets herself apart as a true playmaker, consistently connecting with teammates to generate quality goal-scoring opportunities. In transition, she excels at moving off the ball and finding pockets of space, making her a constant threat for Mercy. Not only can Waide create for others, but she also has a proven ability to find the back of the net herself. Her speed adds another dimension to her game. Allowing her to stretch defenses and capitalize on chances in the final third. Further, as she heads into her second season with Mercy, Waide's continued growth will be one to watch.     Warner, known for her natural goal-scoring instincts. Wasted no time making an impact this season; already finding the back of the net in the opening matches. Her ability to consistently get into scoring positions sets her apart. She thrives in moments when her team needs a clinical finish. Whether it's a composed strike inside the box or a well-timed run behind the defense. Warner's ability for producing goals is a key asset for her squad.
