Girls’ Class of 2029 Standout Offensive Players: Piedmont Region

<p>The next positions to look at from the Piedmont region are the offensive ones. In the areas of the pitch where she works in, she finds herself heavily marked constantly. This is absolutely not an issue for her at all. The way she maneuvers out of pressure is dazzling and effective. She pulls off moves where it looks like she would lose the ball, and continues progressing the play as if what she just did was a regular occurrence. One-on-ones are no issue at all for her either, but she relies on skill and technique rather than pace to leave her marker behind. Her footwork is quick and smooth, allowing her to beat multiple players at once with a simple move. She's also a great playmaker and chance creator, being the catalyst especially when she drops deeper. She also bags plenty of goals when she finds herself near the goal. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Chatham is a midfielder with tremendous potential who needs no introduction. Recently, she's been covered twice, with her brilliance duly noted. The intelligent, technical, and agile midfielder is the type of player that gets people watching because of how different they are. Calling her a difference maker is still selling her short. She can adapt anywhere in midfield where she is given the reins to pull the strings. Her ball striking outside the box makes her an even greater offensive weapon, especially on free kicks. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Attackers</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Emme's potential has no limit, regardless of what position she plays in. She can play as either a striker or an attacking midfielder. However, I believe that as a striker, she can make a name for herself for a long time. She combines technique and opportunism, making her a deadly striker. In tight spaces, you can tell her midfield attributes kick in even when she plays as a 9. She'll move the ball around the sea of opponents' legs almost as if they were simple inconveniences rather than obstacles. Her agility allows her to move in these spaces, while her quick footwork makes it effective. When she's through on goal, she's ruthless. Her technique to shoot is immaculate. Whether she's receiving the ball inside the box or she's driving it towards goal, she'll choose the exact type of shot the play is asking for. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Gabrielle is an intelligent and versatile forward who does both the silent and "loud" work in the final third. She can play both out wide and as a 9, and excels in both. As a 9, she loves to play on the shoulder of the opposing defense, making runs in behind to leave her one-on-one with the keeper. Here, she shows fantastic composure to slot the ball past them, almost as if it were routine. She also makes movements to open up space for teammates, acting as a sort of false 9. Either another teammate makes the pass in behind for the runner, or she receives it to play it. As a winger, she loves to take the ball to the defending full-back and subsequently get past them. She's fast and difficult to catch in space, but she's also skillful and gets rid of a marker with devastating ease.</p>
