Hawaii Girls High School Soccer – Preseason Top 10 – 2026

Top-level, college commit, and Elite-level players from “The Aloha State” are ready for another year of prep soccer.

USE THE PROMO CODE almasin30 for a discount on your first subscription

This feature will include two juggernauts from the state of Hawaii. Kamehameha Kapalama and Punahou are the perennial powerhouse programs with a combined 26 girls' state championships. That's right, Punahou leads with 14 state titles, and Kamehameha trails with 12 Division 1 state championships.

As a joke, the term in Hawaii for the division 1 championships for girls' soccer is called the “Punahou and Kamehameha Soccer Bowl," as the archrivals are usually the ones lifting the cup at the end of every state tournament. Of course, a few other teams etched their place in history, but this rivalry will move forward as long as the state of Hawaii continues to produce top-level players ready to jump to the next levels.

Last season, top-seeded Kamehameha Kapalama captured the title against a scrappy unranked Punahou team looking for a 4-peat. The Buff n Blue ended the season ranked as the #3 ranked team in the state and #88 in the nation, while the Warriors took the #1 spot and the #11 ranking in the nation. The Warriors won 3-1 while taking a comfortable 2-0 lead into the half. Kamehameha went up 3-0 before Punahou got their lone goal.

Although the Warriors snapped the Buff n Blue's three-year consecutive run, this upcoming season will definitely produce another epic run by both teams vying for the state crown.
In this ranking poll, both Division 1 and Division II teams will be included. There's no exact science to this, but my rankings were based on previous results and the possible strength of returning players.

Hawaii is one of the few places where high school soccer really matters. Club players usually always represent their high school teams in Hawaii, and as the saying goes, “no scouts go to high school matches," which does not apply in the 808 state. Most players are directly recruited in high-profile league matches, preseason tournaments, and the illustrious State Tourney.

Hawaii Preseason Rankings - 2026-2027 - Full List

1.
