Michigan 2030: Unheralded Prospects To Know

The Prep Soccer 2030 state rankings will be released this week. Prior to the release of the rankings, check out a scouting report on some of the players who are just breaking into the spotlight but should be names to know for a long time. Tanabe's talent is undeniable. Watch five minutes (or even less) of a Michigan Hawks Magic U15 ECNL team game and she will stand out from the action. Despite her smaller frame, she's got a big impact on the game. She's been the most valuable player for the squad through this part of the season. She pulls the strings of the attack and connects the passes all over the pitch. Lennon is a defensive midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='414233' first='Michigan' last='Stars'] Girls Academy team. She immediately stood out from game film. She has the quality to be in the conversation for US Soccer Talent ID call-ups in the future. She reads the game well, gives her full effort, and makes good decisions on the ball. Lennon has been the catalyst for Michigan Stars with her sophisticated play. She's a player who might not have a ton of publicity yet, but will be in the scout's spotlight for a long time. Middleton is quickly emerging as a top prospect from the ECNL RL in Michigan. She's a center back on the DCFC West U16 ECNL RL team. She also plays on the DCFC USL Academy team. She's been part of the ODP Midwest squad. Middleton is a center back with athleticism, excellent passing range, and an unrivaled competitive drive. She was a bright spot for the squad through the first few months of the club season. She has the upside to match up against any forward in Michigan's 2030 class and give them a battle on any game day. Scouts would be wise to put her name on the list of prospects from this 2030 group. Sikorksi is a center forward on the Nationals U15 ECNL team. She was outstanding over the weekend in the win over Missouri Rush. She does well with her back to the goal. She has a good first touch. She's strong on the ball. Her link up and combination play. She had a pass early in the first half that was sublime. A ball over the top of the defense that set in a teammate onto goal. Sikorski has tremendous potential as a leading line of the potent Nationals attack. Gartland is a defender on the Michigan Jaguars 2011/2012 Girls Academy team. She plays as a center back. She is also an excellent 1v1 defender and can mark a player out of the game. She is excellent in aerial duels and is an asset in set piece defending. Gartland has been a key player for the Jaguars defense, which has been ripping through the competition in the Girls Academy.
