The U.S. Under-15 Girls' National Team capped a dominant week in Mexico City by winning the 4 Nations Tournament, going a perfect three-for-three and saving the best for last. A 3-2 over host Mexico in the decider, powered by a sensational hat trick from forward Fifi Garcia. What makes this triumph especially impressive is the degree of difficulty. Every one of coach Vanessa Mann's 22 players on this roster was born in 2012, while their opponents Uruguay, Mexico, and Paraguay fielded teams made up primarily of older, 2011-born players. Facing a years physical disadvantage in every match, the young Americans didn't just compete. They dominated.

The tournament came down to a showdown with the host nation Mexico, and it was Fifi Garcia whose rose to the occasion once again in the biggest way imaginable. Garcia is a genuinely electric athlete with the kind of explosive, game-breaking profile that draws comparisons to very best and she scored all 3 goals for the U.S. and they needed every single one of them on their way to a 3-2 victory. Her first goal Garcia found herself on the end of a sublime pass from [player_tooltip player_id='382324' first='Haylie' last='Jackson'] who cut inside onto her left foot and split two defenders with a pass in behind to play Garcia in behind, whom took a touch and put it past the Mexico goalie. The second goal came from a lovely move where standout center back [player_tooltip player_id='335181' first='Kensie' last='Cabral'] pushed into midfield on the dribble played a crisp pass to [player_tooltip player_id='381460' first='Sophia' last='Ortiz']'s feet whom took a lovely touch and played Garcia in behind for a 1 touch finish high to the Mexican goalkeepers right. The USA would make it 3-0 before halftime as Nina Stanislaus successfully dribbled down the left flank before cutting it onto her right foot delivered a cross to Garcia who took a touch off her thigh and volleyed a ball with her left foot into the bottom right corner of the goal. It looked like the score could have gotten out of hand for Mexico but to give them credit they battled back and scored two quick goals after the halftime break. Both goals were scored off of corners making the second half very intense and nervy for the USA to close it out.

This was a tournament win that checked every box: dominant results remarkable squad depth, and most impressively beating older teams on their own continent, in the host nations backyard. Across the 3 games Fifi Garcia was the obvious standout scoring 6 goals but she certainly didn't do it alone. [player_tooltip player_id='382324' first='Haylie' last='Jackson'] was outstanding across the 3 games and her San Diego Surf teammate [player_tooltip player_id='335181' first='Kensie' last='Cabral'] was sensational in defense. For a group that will one day aim to qualify for the 2029 FIFA U17 World Cup, it was an emphatic early market of their potential. Under Vanessa Mann, the future American Women's Soccer looks every bit as bright as its celebrated past.
