Texas HS Boys – Katy Jordan vs. Cinco Ranch

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school season is going at full pace in the state of Texas and thousands of teams are getting on the field each week to compete for the much-coveted spots in the playoffs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Soccer will be following the action closely, covering as many matches as possible every week and providing reports featuring the players that had remarkable performances in those encounters. On Tuesday, we made it to the Division 6A - Region 3, District 19 match between the Katy Jordan Warriors and the Cinco Ranch Cougars in the Fulshear area.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Katy Jordan 2 - 0 Cinco Ranch Cougars</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Playing at home, the Katy Jordan Warriors started the match on the front foot and needed just a little over two minutes to find the back of the net for the first time. Senior midfielder [player_tooltip player_id='16394' first='Juancarlos' last='Santos'] received the ball in the final third, dribbled a Cinco Ranch defender and fired a low shot out of the range of goalkeeper Zacharias Padelopoulos.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jordan's second goal was also scored before the halftime break and it was built in a similar fashion. Ojeda scored a beautiful goal with a shot from outside the penalty box and also played an important role on defense, tracking back and closing the space in the middle.
