Ferroni was the goalkeeper of the FC Delco team that secured two wins and one loss over the weekend in Dallas. I got to watch her in action in the team’s debut, a 5-2 win over Sting Black on Saturday. Despite FC Delco’s high-scoring performance, they were dominated by Sting in different moments of the match, but Ferroni was there to step up and preserve their lead. A tall goalkeeper with great reflexes, she handled most shots that went her way very well and was also very reliable with collecting crosses. The goalkeeper also used her feet well every time she got on the ball.

Ferroni has the physical tools to be the best goalkeeper in this class. She is five-foot-10 and athletic. She had a good campaign in the ECNL last season. She is still developing as a goalkeeper. She is capable of making the game-deciding play. An area for improvement would be in her decision making. There are some times when it looks like she can catch a shot or cross but elects to punch away. She tends to take the safer route, which can work in the short term, but to increase her impact on the game, retaining possession for her side is a more valuable trait. Ferroni has improved with every season and will be a top target to watch this season as she brings her side into contention in the ECNL.
