About Kayla

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play a very aggressive playing style. I put my body on the line constantly to make saves. I have no fear. I come out and grab crosses, corner kicks, through balls, and breakaways, whether it's in the air or on the ground. I like to use my feet a lot, allowing my team to play back. I use footwork a lot in my play and am very patient on the ball. I have very fast feet, which I use to my advantage.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very determined person who enjoys the process. I understand the highs and lows of playing, but I take all of it in I can to learn. My goal is to enjoy the game every time I am on the field. Personality wise, I am decently sociable. I always try to help others, on and off the field. I try to keep an upbeat mood during sessions and motivate people.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in the National Honor Society. I m also in my schools bible club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have very strong leadership skills. I currently have my coaching license, which has help me develop this skill even further. I am very good at reading the game and plays, allowing me to anticipate the next move.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was born pre-mature with a mass in my chest. I was diagnosed with pulmonary sequestration and had to undergo surgery. I had half of my lung removed along with the mass. I spent my whole life working on being able to keep up and have the stamina everyone else has, which I was very successful in.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a home vibe and a sense of community within it.
