Teams 1-10
Santa Margarita is No. 2 behind Saint Francis with Carondelet at No. 3. The Cougars finished as runners up in Northern California after a very close 1-0 defeat to Saint Francis. There is a run of three Southern Section teams after that until we get to San Ramon Valley at No. 7. St. Ignatius, the only team to beat Saint Francis this season, is No. 10.
Teams 11-20
Division II Southern Section champ Hart of Newhall is No. 11. San Diego Section Open champ Westview is No. 13 while Central Section champ Clovis is No. 14. Surprises Sac-Joaquin DI champ Franklin is No. 15. Marin Academy, the Division III NorCal champs, is No. 18, DII Southern Section runners up Harvard-Westlake is No. 19 while Branson, who beat Marin Academy for the North Coast Section title, but lost to them in the State final, is No. 20.
Teams 21-30
Division III Southern Section champ Moorpark comes in at No. 21, while SJS and Central Sections runners up St. Francis-Sacramento and Liberty Bakersfield come in at No. 23 and No. 24. Mountain View is No. 25 while SJS top seed Davis is No. 26 and those teams are followed by four Southern Section teams.
Teams 31-40
A lot of teams that reached the semifinals and quarterfinals in their section are in this group highlighted by McClatchy of Sacramento which is No. 39 and as the No. 8 seed reached the SJS Section finals.
Teams 41-50
Christian Brothers, the DIV NorCal champ is No. 43 followed by the team it beat in PK’s, Cardinal Newman. Central Section and San Diego Section Division II champs, St. Joseph-Santa Maria and Patrick Henry are in this group as is Northern Section champ Pleasant Valley.
