<p>Driven. Goal-oriented. Tough. Competitive. Those are just a few of the many words that come to mind when talking about [player_tooltip player_id='102322' first='Piper' last='Bingham']. </p>

<p>Bingham has very big dreams, and the motivation, determination, dedication and ability to achieve them. She wants to play college soccer. She wants to play professionally, be it in the National Women's Soccer League domestically or playing in a professional league abroad. Her ultimate goal, is to make the United States Women's National team. Bingham is on her way, being called into the US Soccer Talent ID camp last spring, and was the captain for her ODP team during a tour to Germany this past spring. </p>

<p>Bingham hit a speed bump last fall, breaking her femur in a collision with a keeper. But because of her competitive drive and mental toughness, her recovery period was just three months. She is back on the pitch now, playing for her club, and will be playing for her school in the spring after taking last season off to run indoor and outdoor track to build speed and endurance after her injury.</p>

<p>If there was a silver lining from such an injury, it's that Bingham gained insight in watching from the sidelines. This perspective helped improve her soccer IQ, and all of her off-the-field work has helped develop her soccer knowledge and developed her into a stronger soccer player, both mentally and physically.</p>

<p>Bingham has grown up in a soccer family (her mom played in college), and has heard about all of the possibilities in terms of pathways for her soccer journey. She knows to get to these places, it will take hard work.</p>

<p>Bingham is an attacking player, who either plays as a wide forward or an attacking midfielder, and has a strong understanding of where she should be positioned. She is excellent at this while in transition as she is quick to recover and drop into position. She is also a standout in 1v1 situations where she is very good at dragging defenders out of position to create an opportunity for herself or her teammates. </p>

<p>Bingham, who plays for Hinsdale High in Illinois and plays club for Evolution SC's 2008 ECNL team, displays an excellent first touch, can use either foot and shows confidence on the ball. With her technical ability, and passing range, she is able to turn out of trouble and play a ball or escape pressure.</p>

<p>She is versatile, has tremendous ability to score or make a play to create chances for her teammates, making her a nightmare for any defender. With keen vision and excellent tactical awareness, she can play a through ball and usually has the precision to put it right at the feet of a teammate. </p>

<p>Bingham takes her game incredibly seriously, between speed and endurance training, GOALS soccer training, the last three years have shown that her hard work is paying off. She also takes feedback, is receptive to constructive criticism and people she works with say she is a joy to be around. </p>
