Fort Worth, TX: This was an ECNL girls matchup that featured a number of highly ranked collegiate-level players. The Solar 07 Girls have had a lot of success in recent years, and are a top team yet again in 2023-2024. Solar went into this game as the favorites, but Sting Dallas Royal showed their class and gave them a great battle. The match was 0-0 at the half, with the deadlock unbroken until midway through the 2nd half.

Solar had been knocking on their door all game and were able to kick it open in the latter stages of the match. At full-time it was [player_tooltip player_id='27233' first='Sealey' last='Strawn'], [player_tooltip player_id='26863' first='Kamdyn' last='Fuller'], and [player_tooltip player_id='48333' first='Rylee' last='McLanahan']'s goals that gave Solar a 3-0 win. Both teams will be back in action next week on October 28th. This article will highlight some of the players from both clubs who stood out in the match.

Check out the photo gallery from the game here.

[player_tooltip player_id='26834' first='Jordyn' last='Hardeman'] is a technical and talented midfielder with great skill on the ball. She is one of the better players out there when it comes to 1v1 dribbling, and her creativity on the ball allows her to beat defenders in a plethora of ways. Jordyn's passing, delivery, strike, and expertise when taking set-pieces make her a big threat in the final third.

[player_tooltip player_id='27160' first='Payten' last='Cooper'] is a fast player who can cause all sorts of problems for opposing defenders. She has loads of pace and explosive quickness, especially when she is on the ball. Payten's well-timed forward runs allow her to sneak in behind defenders, and makes her difficult to mark in the attack. She can beat players 1v1 and has a fast release to get shots off in tight spaces.

[player_tooltip player_id='48333' first='Rylee' last='McLanahan'] is an impactful forward, shown by the way she was involved in all three of the goals scored against Sting. Rylee showed impressive vision, passing, and delivery in this match that helped create all three of the second half goals for Solar, with Rylee placing the finishing touch herself on the final goal making it 3-0.

[player_tooltip player_id='26393' first='Ainsley' last='McCammon'] is a gifted midfielder that fits perfectly into the number 6 role. She is the type of player that has the intelligence and technical ability to make very quick decisions both in and out of possession, and she doesn't often make mistakes on the ball. When she is on the ball, her skilled first touch and ability to read the game allow her to play quick, finding the right passes. Ainsley's great defensive capabilities were also on display, as she is a great tackler and is especially effective at slowing down and halting counter attacks. She is the type of player that can help dictate the tempo of a game and impact the outcome of the match with her control in the middle third.

Emerson Garcia is an all-around great defender who has an incredibly high level of fitness and work rate. She is a smart player with a very high ceiling. She is at her best when playing outside back where she can carry the ball up-field and make plays in the offensive third. Emerson's fitness and work rate allow her to make full field runs and recover quickly when needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='26514' first='Ava' last='Haley'] is a tall and strong midfielder who plays box to box. She knows how to use her size and strength to hold off opponents, win 50/50s, and be dominate in the air. Her aggressiveness in the midfield allows her to win challenges and gain possession back for her side. There aren't many players out there that can win an ariel duel against Ava, and she can be a solid target on offensive set-pieces. She is also good with the ball at her feet, and is difficult to tackle successfully.

[player_tooltip player_id='151866' first='Briannah' last='Lilly'] is a physical center back with a lot of athleticism. She is very quick to close down attackers and block shots. Briannah is a tenacious defender who will always come out to challenge opposing forwards and put a body on them. She has great timing when stepping up to break up passes and long balls on the attack. Briannah doesn't shy away from contact and will put her body on the line to make a play.
