In part two of this Texas series, it's time to take a look at six more players from Texas, a state that is absolutely brimming with talent that could, and should, play at the next level. All four high school grade levels are represented with this group.

Victoria DeLaTorre, Outside Defender/Midfielder, Class of 2026

DeLaTorre's recruiting window hasn't opened yet, but she should gain a lot of attention next June. She will be at the Alianza National Showcase in Phoenix starting in four days, with a bunch of teams and scouts in attendance. DeLaTorre is an outside back and a midfielder. She shows great versatility, has exceptional skill and ability and can make an impact that changes a match. She is also not afraid at all to make a tackle, playing without fear. She attends Klein High School and plays her club with Challenge SC.

[player_tooltip player_id='112681' first='Carolina' last='Flores'], Keeper, Class of 2027

The Classics Elite Soccer Academy player, Flores is on the 2009 ECNL team. She is an excellent keeper, one who shows great vision in her ability to see the field and read play in front of her. She is a smart keeper, making wise decisions, but plays with an aggression when it's time to come for a ball or go up in the air. Flores is also a very confident and hard-working player.

Riley Haynes, Outside Defender, Class of 2027

Haynes is a freshman at Grand Oaks High, which is north of Houston. She plays club with Challenge Soccer Club, and is an outside back. She has the speed to play on the outside, and can really make a great pass down the line, or cross the ball in if she pushes up the pitch. She is also very aggressive and physical, and is a defender that does not shy away from contact at all.

[player_tooltip player_id='102095' first='Skylar' last='Henley'], Centra Defender/Defensive Midfielder, Class of 2024

Henley is a senior at LD Bell High School in Hurst, TX where she is a versatile and dynamic defensive player, either playing as a center back or as a defensive midfielder. She plays club for the Dallas Texans 05/06 ECNL team and plays with great strength and aggressiveness. She is not afraid to track a player down and make a challenge, using great speed and the ability to read the angles to shut down attackers.

Emily Peterson, Midfielder/Forward, Class of 2025

Peterson is about to start her junior season at The Einstein School in Plano, TX and is a very versatile and dynamic player there. She plays both in the midfield area and in forward positions. She plays club for the BVB GA team. Peterson plays the game with such positivity and with great energy that it helps inspire and carry her team. She can do just about anything on the pitch and is very strategic in how she approaches the game. Peterson always puts the team first.

[player_tooltip player_id='26746' first='Grasyn' last='Unruh'], Central Defender, Class of 2025

Unruh is the lone player on the list who is from around Austin, TX. She plays at New Braunfels High, playing club for SA City on the 2007 GA team. A competitive player, Unruh steps up and leads her back line for both school and club. She is very competitive, driven to succeed and works hard. Unruh plays with an aggressive style and makes life hard on attacking players.
