Rankings Analysis: Players to know from Georgia’s 2027 Class

There are still a number of top prospects from outside of MLS Next. He previously played for NTH-Nasa 09 Boys ECNL. He joined Atlanta United for this season. He played left center back for his club team last season and is in the same role for his new side. He is easy to spot as one of the tallest players in this age group. With a long stride, he covers ground in a hurry. He works well as a last line of defense, but he also has the pace to jump in front of the forward when he anticipates the entry pass. There were a few times last season when he made charging runs forward but his touch got away from him. He is the top ranked goalkeeper in Georgia in this update. He is also part of the US Youth National Team program. Donaldson had some opportunities last season to play against older competition, which shows how highly regarded within his club. He has a great frame for a goalkeeper - tall, wide shoulders, athletic build. Donaldson was impressive in his spell in goal during the MLS Cup playoffs/showcase for the Atlanta United U15 team, where he split time in goal with one of the top 2026 goalkeepers. Donaldson has sure hands and excellent technical foundation. One aspect of his game that stands out is his distribution. He is very confident with the ball at his feet. He was a standout in MLS Next U14 last season. He plays as a center forward (No. 9) for his club team. His game against Charlotte FC was a good example of his potential. He is excellent in the combination play. Good as a target for teammates to play off of with quick combination play. He has quick feet and good control of his body to play a variety of passes under pressure. His vision is definitely one of his best attributes. He sees passing angles that not many players would catch at the youth level. Doggett can slot out wide and showed some potential in that role as a dangerous winger who cuts inside on his left. To take full advantage of his passing though, it's probably better to leave him in the center. He needs to improve on his strength and shielding. Playing against bigger center backs who punish in the tackle will force him to elevate that aspect of his game. He already showed the instincts to play one or two-touch unless he was in space. Doggett is a high level prospect from this class. Bransford has stepped up his game in the aerial dominance department this season and become a menace on set pieces with his heading. Bransford's defensive play has helped NTH Nasa to a 10-0-2 record this season. He is left footed and a confident on the ball.
