Blain was very active in her box-to-box midfielder role with Chicago Inter. She covered a lot of ground defensively, helping protect the team’s backline and get a clean sheet, and was also very involved in the team’s offensive attempts. Blain had some very good runs through the middle, beating defenders in tight spaces and getting to the attacking half in no time with her dribbling. Her passing was also always very intelligent and efficient and she was very smart to take advantage of the space created by her dribbling to find open teammates.

Blain is a midfielder on the Chicago Inter 09 ECNL team. She plays as a defensive midfielder for her club team, but could probably fit in at any role in the midfield three. She is a versatile and dynamic player. Her defensive instincts are outstanding and she does a lot of work in the center of the field to help her team keep control of the game. When Blain is on, Chicago Inter is difficult to beat. She was identified as one of the top players in the region by US Soccer and called into the US Soccer Talent ID events.
