With several college commits from the senior class, and underclassmen who will be ones to watch going forward, the area from Concord, through Walnut Creek and down to LaMorinda is loaded with talent.
Jules Colchico, Midfielder, Northgate, Class of 2024
Colchico is a Sacramento State commit and was first-team all-DAL last season. She is a clever, crafty midfielder with great technical skills, speed and vision. She scored two goals recently in a league win over Ygnacio Valley.
Ava Jara, Forward/Midfielder, Clayton Valley Charter, Class of 2026
Jara mostly plays as a No. 9, and shows good anticipation. She makes timely runs and finds space behind the defenders. She’s also very quick to get a shot off and can shoot from distance. She recently had a game-winning goal against College Park. She is only a sophomore.
Indira Naylor Indira Naylor 5'5" | M #114 Nation CA , Midfielder, Campolindo, Class of 2024
Naylor is a midfielder who shows great skill and ability, especially while on the ball. She’s great with the ball at her feet, and has the ability to make the players around her better by setting them up to succeed. She is committed to the University of Chicago and recently two goals and an assist in a win over Benicia.
Ella Thomason, Attacking Midfielder, Acalanes, Class of 2024
Thomason features as the No. 10 for the Dons, and has stepped into a much bigger role for them this year. She is a crafty player who is an excellent passer. In the team’s first league game, she had assists on both goals to lead the team to a win.
Chayse Yu, Forward, Miramonte, Class of 2024
The Brown commit is a fine player for the Mats. She shows great strength despite not being the biggest player, but uses her body well and maintains leverage. She is incredibly technical and has great finishing ability. She had a great first week of league play, getting a goal and an assist against Northgate, then two goals and two assists against Mt. Diablo.
