The scheduled PrepSoccer scout had car issues so we relied on video scouting for the event. Below are the standouts from the 2007 age group.

Renata Mercedes, CFC 07 - Mercedes had a stellar showing in the defensive midfield role for Connecticut FC. She is a highly rated 2025 recruit from the Northeast based on her international play - she is part of the Dominican Republic National Team program and a star of their U20 team. Mercedes plays as a center back at the international level. She featured at defensive midfield for her club team. She's a high-level player - who might be better suited for the professional game than the college game to be honest - the way she sees the game and the type of plays she makes suggest that she could fit in at a Tier 1 pro team in the near future. She isn't the quickest player, but she might be one of the smartest about the game. She had a tactical foul in the win over Midwest United that showcased how she uses her intelligence rather than braun to impact the game. Her ability to spin away from pressure was really impressive in the win over Jacksonville FC. Her distribution is also a strong point of her game. She pins her passes with pace and accuracy. Mercedes should already be on the radar, but perhaps should be on the radar for professional clubs soon. Paige Place was also a standout in the midfielder for CFC.

[player_tooltip player_id='20848' first='Julia' last='Johnson'], CFC 07 - Johnson is a center back on the Connecticut FC 07 team. She starred for the team during the event in Florida. She was a key part of the defense that recorded three shutouts from three games. [player_tooltip player_id='20836' first='Grace' last='Petrie'] was also excellent at center back for Connecticut. Johnson's defensive presence - her positioning, organizing, and communication was excellent. She was also good on the ball and did well finding outlets when looking long to break pressure. [player_tooltip player_id='20778' first='Annabel' last='Edwards'] and [player_tooltip player_id='20913' first='Sydney' last='Patten'] were also standouts at defense.

Olivia Ochsner, Chicago Inter 07 - Ochsner was a standout in goal for Chicago Inter. She had an excellent game against East Meadow. The windy conditions made it tricky on the goalkeepers during the games but she handled it with expertise. She was secure in the save and did not allow rebounds on chances. Ochsner does well in moving her feet and getting her body behind the shot. She has good technique and impressed me with how she handled low driven shots. She's a 2026 grad that should be on the radar for scouts.

Riga Kallaba, Chicago Inter 07 - It's hard to deny Kallaba's impact on the game. She is on the ball immediately when she is on the field and if she isn't on the ball she is looking for how she can get a touch. The fearless approach is refreshing to see. The utmost confidence exudes from her movement as she is always trying to create opportunities for her team. She has a good first touch and can maneuver in tight spaces. Kallaba is another top 2026 on the Inter side.

[player_tooltip player_id='26799' first='Isabelle' last='“Izy” Traub'], FC Dallas 07 - I thought Traub was the best player on the field against World Class. She was excellent at reading the game and being in the right spots to help her side from the No. 6 position. Traub, who dons the No. 10 jersey, was sublime on the ball. She played with her head up and did well setting up the triangles through the midfield - either with her movement off the ball or movement on the ball. Her quick decision-making allowed FC Dallas to play with the rapid movement that punishes the opposition ruthlessly. [player_tooltip player_id='26783' first='Holly' last='Storer'] was once again outstanding in the attack for FC Dallas.

[player_tooltip player_id='139496' first='Hadley' last='Delaney'], Utah Avalanche 07 - Delaney was a key part of the Utah Avalanche defense that did not concede a goal during the three games in Florida. The left center back showed off her excellent all-around game against Michigan Hawks Magic on Monday. She did well in 1v1 man-marking situations. She was exceptional as a cover support defender for her side. Delaney was one of the top center backs from the event. [player_tooltip player_id='27426' first='Hannah' last='Holmes'], Cadence Packer, and Bailey Brown were also standouts for the Utah defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='27377' first='Brooklyn' last='Phongsavath'], Utah Avalanche 07 - Brookie Phongsavath was exceptional on the ball for her side. Quick feet, body feints, and tight turns, it looked like the opposing midfielder was chasing shadows trying to keep up with the Avalanche standout. She has the potential to be an early contributor at the next level thanks to her skill on the ball and knack for drawing fouls in dangerous spots.

[player_tooltip player_id='27509' first='Paige' last='Holmes'], Utah Avalanche 07 - Holmes covered a ton of ground for her side. It felt like she was everywhere against Hawks Magic. She was always working and providing key plays to influence the result of the game. She is a great box-to-box midfielder and was one of the best players on the field.

Karleigh Cress, CESA 07 - Cress is listed as a midfielder/defender on her player profile. I saw her play as the right center back in the win over Sporting Iowa. Cress was excellent defensively. She read the game well and got into the right spots. She did well in shielding players off the ball. She is good in possession as well. She hits the ball with accuracy consistently. Her side uses her as the corner kick taker because of her delivery with her right foot.

Lydia Parker, CEAS 07 - Parker was a standout at defensive midfield for CESA. She was excellent on the ball. She showed quality on the ball with her combination play. She made quick decisions and often player one or two-touch soccer. Parker was excellent against Sporting Iowa and really impacted the result of the game.

Sophie Rourke, WNY Flash 07 - Rourke was selected for the NSG at the event. This spot on the standouts was due to her play against South Carolina United. Rourke was excellent in that game - and it's obvious why she should be considered among the top uncommitted defenders in the 2025 class.

Fineen Cregan, WNY Flash 07 - Cregan impressed me in the game against South Carolina United. She is a forward/midfielder on her player profile. I think the potential as an attacking midfielder is the most exciting part for her. She is good on the ball and can play out of tight spaces. She keeps close control of the ball and has great balance. She had a instrumental part in a goal as she helped break pressure with her play on the ball, passed to the open attacker, and then completed her full field run to score 70 yards later off a cross.
