<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's crunch time in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) high school soccer season as over the next weekend we'll know the four teams in Division 6A that will get to compete at the State Tournament, in Georgetown, from April 10-13.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After advancing three rounds in the playoffs, four teams in each region remain alive, but just one of them will earn the right to play for the state title in just over a week. The qualified teams will emerge from the four Regional Tournaments that will take place around the Lone Star State between Friday and Sunday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we prepare for a critical couple of days in the high school soccer season, let's preview each of the four Regional Tournaments, looking at Region 4 in the final article of the series.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Teams:</strong> Harlingen (Harlingen), Round Rock (Round Rock), Taft (San Antonio) and Westlake (Austin)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Location: </strong>Comalander Stadium</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Harlingen</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Lady Cardinals dominated District 24, finishing in first place with a perfect record of ten wins. Moving into the playoffs, the team didn't slow down, beating Mission in bi-district, O'Connor in the area round and Warren in the regional quarterfinals. Round Rock continued to dominate in the postseason, getting wins over Johnson (bi-district), Reagan (area round) and Anderson (regional quarterfinals). Taft didn't slow down in the playoffs, outscoring United South (bi-district), Los Fresnos (area round) and Brennan (regional quarterfinals) by 16-1. In the playoffs, they had close wins over Round Rock Westwood in bi-district, Johnson in the area round and Lake Travis in the regional quarterfinals to advance.
