Along the stretch of highway from Concord to San Ramon, there are excellent soccer players playing for top clubs and high schools. These five boys are among the best players in that area, coming from each end of that stretch and offering a variety of skills.

[player_tooltip player_id='7319' first='Colin' last='Farley'], Keeper, Class of 2025

The Mustang SC 2007 player is a fierce competitor and a leader in goal. He is very vocal and keeps his defense organized, and can make all of the saves. Farley is a good shot stopper in front of goal, he reacts quickly and makes smart decisions. He's brave on corners and set pieces and distributes the ball quickly once he gathers it.

Xander Lee, Forward, Class of 2026

Lee is a very versatile attacking player who can play at various positions up front and offer a variety of looks. He is a very strong player who can take on defenders and not get knocked off the ball. He plays with a lot of intelligence, seeing the pitch very well and he also remains calm, whether on the ball or off the ball, and his unflappable mentality allows him to make smart decisions.

Giovanni Negrete, Forward, Class of 2026

Negrete is a very dynamic forward who displays great scoring ability and the ability to set up his teammates. He can play wide and is very good about cutting in on his left foot, or getting wide and sending a ball in. He has great quickness, agility and explosiveness, making him hard to mark on the outside, or hard to keep up with when he cuts in on the ball or makes an overlapping run. He is a brilliant attacking talent and an incredibly dangerous offensive player for Clayton Valley High and Ninja West FC.

[player_tooltip player_id='8272' first='Matthew' last='Rajecki'], Midfielder/Defender, Class of 2025

Versatility is a big part of Rajecki's game as he can play in the midfield or play as a defender. He is a player that has terrific vision, whether he is looking to play the ball or assessing the field in front of him off the ball. He has an excellent feel for where to be on the field, allowing him to be available for teammates and allowing him to fill passing lanes on defense. He seems to have instincts for when to step to the ball, when to make a challenge and when to keep his feet. Rajecki plays high school at De La Salle and club for the Mustang SC 2007 ECNL team.

[player_tooltip player_id='167013' first='Ronan' last='Rattigan'], Forward, Class of 2025

Rattigan is also plays on the Mustang SC 2007 ECNL team, as well as playing high school at De La Salle, and he is a very skilled attacking player. He is very creative and enjoys taking on defenders in order to create for himself or for his teammates. He is comfortable with the ball at his feet, running at defenders and he's also very adept at making well-timed runs to get in behind, or finding a pocket of space where he presents a threat.
