About Ava

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a physical player who effectively uses my size to be a lockdown 1v1 defender. My game changing speed allows me to quickly recover and/or track down any attacker. I am calm on the ball, able to control possession and effectively build out of the back. I am a leader on the field in both effort and communication.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am hard working, determined and competitive. I am also a caring, thoughtful and supportive person who values personal relationships on and off the field. I am coachable, flexible and consistently challenge myself toward personal improvement.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In addition to being a 4 sport Varsity Athlete in High School, I have been very active. I completed 2 Years in ASB leadership, where I was one of the leaders of the activities and sports committees serving the student body. I have also been on the Principal's Honor Roll for the past 2 years with a 4.4 GPA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been very involved in the community from a young age. I was an altar server at my Church and have volunteered to be a group leader at Vacation Bible School. I was also a volunteer for a sports camp for younger athletes and leading group skills with other teammates. I have also volunteered for a AYSO soccer program that supported special needs players.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that emphasizes the importance of balancing sports with academics and student growth. A college that has a supportive coaching staff, maintains a positive team culture and values both athletic and academic achievements.
