ECNL Girls Texas Conference U19: Three Midfielders to Watch

<p>The highly competitive ECNL club league kicked off its 2024-2025 season on the weekend of August 24-25, with the first Conference matches taking place around the country and setting the floor for what's going to be ten intense months of soccer.</p>   <p>The Texas Conference has been one of the strongest in the league in the last few years and will continue to be this season as some of the most talented players in the nation represent clubs from the region. </p>   <p>Prep Soccer Texas will be following the action weekly and providing coverage in text, photo and social media posts, giving the talented prospects from the Lone Star State some well-deserved recognition and exposure. We start our coverage featuring some players to watch in the upcoming season. First, the U19 age group, and this time we'll present some of the most talented midfielders in the conference:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Kianka will be one of the options in midfield for Albion Hurricanes FC ECNL 07. Her well-rounded game allows her to play pretty much anywhere in the center of the field. Kianka can be used as a defensive midfielder, where she can support the team's buildup and shield the backline with her physical play. She's more often used as an attacking midfield thanks to her ability to move off the ball and find pockets of space to operate - she's very good at dribbling in tight spaces and connecting with teammates in combination plays. Typically deployed in front of the team's backline, she gets on the ball a lot and very rarely puts a foot wrong with her decision-making. Few players, if any, are better than Traub when it comes to organizing the game and dictating the pace of her team when in possession. Her double pivot with [player_tooltip player_id='26551' first='Breckyn' last='Ferrell'] in midfield is the team's main strength as the two operate incredibly well and complement each other perfectly. Snell performs her defensive duties with great efficiency, covering a lot of ground in the center of the field and playing with tremendous intensity to make stops and regain possession.
