She is a No. 6, but she really likes to express herself, going touch line to touch line in order to receive the ball in good spots and help the team going forward. I like how she lets the ball run when receiving the ball between defenders in order to clear space, and then when she's on the ball the movements are quick and decisive. She plays a very good ball forward, whether it be long or on the floor and when she sees an opportunity to get a shot on goal, she pushes up really quickly and aggressively and puts her boot through it. The University of Utah commit is clearly committed to her recovery as you can see on her X page, as she is working extremely hard to return from knee surgery.">article</a>, and she is a riser in the rankings for me as she works her way back from knee surgery because of the dedication to her recovery she is showing. She looks really explosive in her training and I feel like she is going to come back better than before. She is a Utah commit. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='19715' first='Kennadi' last='Borg'], Forward/Midfielder, MVLA</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Borg is a fun player because she is incredibly dangerous off the ball and if you track her movements when you watch her film, you see a player that has an idea in advance of what she's going to do. She finds weaknesses and exploits them. She's a great finisher, both with her feet and with her head, she's very good on the ball and she moves it quickly, playing one and two-touch football. The Colgate-bound defender is a incredibly solid in everything she does. She is sound and fundamental as a defender, showing the ability to read, react and position herself well. She's hard to beat 1v1 and when she's on the ball, she's good in possession and sends a good ball down the sides.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='19599' first='Jordyn' last='Dunn'], Central Defender, SoCal Blues</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dunn is committed to UCLA and is a good-sized center back with great defensive characteristics. With her size and strength, she's tough to be 1v1 and with her long frame, she deflects shots regularly and she is dominant in the air. She's comfortable on the ball and can play it forward, and can calmly build out of the back.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='19693' first='Kaylee' last='Foxhoven'], Forward Eagles SC</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Foxhoven has been one of the more under appreciated players in the area, but that is no longer the case. She is versatile, playing any forward spot, she can play the No. 10 and she is comfortable doing all of the things you want an attacker to do. She drives at defenders, she can dribble through traffic, she makes smart decisions on when to play a ball, she has a great cross and, most importantly, she's a goal scorer who just knows how to put the ball in the net. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='19422' first='Gabriella' last='Jensen'], Central Defender, LAFC</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jensen is very skilled with the ball, and can help create out of the back. She can avoid the pressure, and step up which really opens things up. From there she can play a ball in the air or on the ground, with accuracy, or she will carry down the pitch until the next level of defenders steps up and gives her space to lay the ball off. She's very fast, so she tracks back well and does not get out-run by attackers, and once she is locked on to one, she's tough to beat, showing class in dispossessing players. She is committed to the University of Chicago.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='54222' first='Noe' last='Johnson'], Athletic Midfielder, Lamorinda United</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Stanford commit is a very athletic No. 10 with incredible creative and playmaking tendencies. She's smooth on the ball, showing athleticism when moving laterally and great explosion when moving forward. She's a goal-scoring threat once she is moving downhill in the final third as she can take on defenders. She's not selfish and like a good No. 10, she will play the ball, sending a clever ball between defenders or hitting the ball out wide and continuing her run. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='20138' first='Samantha' last='Marella'], Central Defender, Legends FC</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Marella is one of the best watches on film, and she has been featured a number of times, including <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/2024/07/celebrating-a-fantastic-season-for-legends-fc/">here</a>, and it is for good reason. I love how hard she plays and how she encompasses what it means to be a modern day central defender. She does everything well, from being a tough, physical and gritty defender, to possessing, breaking lines and even putting balls on target. She is a Miami commit. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='147492' first='Gianna' last='Owens'], Defender, San Diego Surf</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Cal Berkeley commit is a very special talent, both athletically and instinctively. She has a very long, lean athletic frame, she moves quickly and fluidly as she truly looks like she could play any position on the pitch. She's got great touch, travels with the ball well and moves off the ball with know-how. She can defend, she can pass and she can finish.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='54194' first='Madelyn' last='Saruwatari'], Forward, Future FC</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A striker with accuracy is a dangerous one, and Saruwatari can put the ball just about anywhere on frame she wants. It's a powerful strike that she has shown she can hit cleanly. This is one of the reasons she is technically sound, as are her skills on the ball as she is good in possession, she's good laying a ball off and she's good taking on defenders, showing good agility and pace. She is committed to Point Loma Nazarene.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='19264' first='Charlotte' last='Ward'], Forward, LAFC</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ward is headed to the land of Troy as she will be a USC Trojan next year. She is hyper-aware on the pitch, sensing weaknesses and mistakes and pouncing on them. She's also very clever and creative in terms of how she can beat a defender. She has great technical ability, she is very tactical as well, making the smart play instead of going for glory. Lastly, her work rate is off the charts. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='54271' first='Viviana' last='Zacarias'], Attacking Midfielder, Slammers HBK</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Zacarias, the Colorado commit, is pace and power. She comes at defenders quickly, she's strong on the ball, she's not afraid of being physical and she's very creative. She's quick and agile and she loves to show off her technical skills. There are good reasons show rose in the rankings. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
