About Osie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

On field leader who plays with grit and determination. Wins every header, always works to be in the right spot on the field. Provides encouragement to teammates and never gives up. Provides a calming influence on the field, keeps others out of trouble, and makes everyone around me better.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I want to play the perfect game. Every time. That doesn’t mean that I don’t accept or make mistakes, but I am always working to play the right way. Being the most coachable, best teammate, and hardest worker is what I will always be most proud about.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Volunteer - Special Olympics Varsity Track and Field - All Independent School League, Javelin

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Member of the Thayer Varsity team that has made the New England Class A playoffs for the last two years. Played meaningful minutes as an 8th grader, played a significant role as a 9th grader (made the Class A final), and now is a starter and one of the leading scorers as a 10th grader. Member of the Select ECNL 2008 team. Starts at outside back and also plays midfield.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to play at school where people are proud to be there. I want to be part of something bigger than me.

Fuqua is a tireless midfielder who will stop at nothing to help her team win. She’s active off the ball at getting into the right spots. She routinely provides key interceptions in the center of the field. She’s also outstanding in the duel with her strength and technique. The Select midfielder has been a bright spot for her team this season.
