About Elijah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my game style as a strong defensive player, who takes pride in winning my 1v1 duels. I look to play a lot penetrating passes from the defensive midfield or back line and play balls through to break lines and advance play. I am very comfortable with the ball at my feet and am very confident in my ability to play through pressure. I win aerial balls.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality in games is very energetic and loud. In games especially rivalry and really close games I am very loud, energetic, and scream a lot. I try to make sure my team is full of energy and we run the other team into the ground. I also love playing under pressure in tight games and feel like I play me best.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes I have received multiple A honor rolls and some B honor rolls.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed my leadership in many different programs, first of all in soccer being a captain through high school season has taught me how to be a good leader from motivating my team and the younger kids in the program being a role model.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have faced many challenges in my life that I have worked through from stressful times in school and balancing that with soccer and my relationships. I have found the key is to understand when to relax and talk with my family to help me through stressful times and work with people to get through it.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for either a smaller school close to home or a mid sized or bigger school if it’s not close to home with a good business school.
