Marcellus is an exciting and imposing center back who combines physicality and technique wonderfully. His height gives him an important advantage against the opposition from the get-go. Any cross into the box where he’s near will end with him clearing the danger. In attack, he’s an aerial threat either through being the finisher or playing a second ball to a teammate. Back to his defensive capabilities, one of my favorite attributes is his strong tackling. He loves to go to ground dominantly and cleanly. When he goes into tackles, he goes in with the double intention of keeping both the ball and man away from his own goal. Despite how strong he tackles, he makes sure to be clean with them. Playing out from the back is another strength. His through balls are fantastic, playing them as if he were a midfielder.
