5 LV Heat Surf 09 Players Who Boosted Stock at ECNL Florida

The event featured some of the best teams in the 2009, 2008, and 2007/2006 age groups in the country.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With hundreds of scouts in attendance, there was plenty on the line from the Showcase event. One of the standout performances from the 2009 age group was the Las Vegas Heat Surf team.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The LV Heat Surf 09 team finished the event with a 3-0 record and a plus 14 goal differential. There were plenty of standouts from this dominant performance from the Nevada side. Taft spent time playing at center back and defensive midfielder. Her passing ability shined in both roles. She's got exceptional vision and an excellent decision-maker on the ball. A few of her passes unlocked the opposition and created scoring chances for her side. She's a skillful dribbler who is creative in the final third. She had a wonderful assist to Madison MJ Schubert on the opening goal in the win against DKSC. Contreras can play on the wing, attacking midfield, or center forward. She's got the pace, skill, and finishing instincts to star at the next level. The way LV Heat Surf plays when Contreras is the No. 9 really lets Schubert shine because she can makes those darting runs behind the center backs, which was so effective against DKSC. She recognizes those spaces and has the lungs to put in a 40 yard sprint beat the high-line of pressure.
