About Catherine

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Fast and aggressive with the goal of distributing the ball when playing midfield, scoring at the 9 or also defending as a 4/5/6.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Strong leader who provides guidance and feedback to team members while also finding ways to make the game fun.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Coaching Special Olympics athletes as well as youth soccer and basketball. I participate in National Honor Society, Make-A-Wish club, and serve as a high school Ambassador and on the Link Crew. I am doing an internship for the second summer with a private equity firm and have been a lifeguard and also regularly baby, house, and pet sit.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As club team soccer captain, I've had to learn how to coach and support my teammates which can be challenging for teenage girls. As a dual sport varsity athletes and club soccer player I've also had to learn how to prioritize my time and stay organized to ensure that I can meet all of my commitments.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I spent my junior year recovering from an injury which was incredibly hard, but through that experience I learned a great deal about how to be mentally tough, have gratitude for what I am able to do, and how to battle through hardship.

What type of college are you looking for?

Right now I am planning on studying pre-law, so a school with strong academics and a soccer program that will be challenging and rewarding.
