Listed as a left wingback on her player profile, I’ve mainly seen her play as a left midfielder. She’s an excellent two-way player. Active defensively and fearless in the tackle, Giannetti has the potential to be an elite left back at the next level. She is a good player in the attack as well. She is an excellent passer and a good finisher. Giannetti has been outstanding this season at the club level. Frankly, I’m surprised she isn’t getting looks from US Soccer based on her play. There are very few left-footed players in this region with as well-rounded game as Giannetti has shown during high-level club games this season.
