About Joselynn

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm Josie Ellington, and I play outside back, center back, and right wing for my Richmond United ECNL team, where I have been the captain for 4 years. I am also the starting center back for my Varsity high school soccer team, the Atlee High School Raiders. I am in the Advanced College Academy Program and hope to study architecture or engineering in college.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Current Clubs: SODA-work with 4th-graders as positive role models; 7th Up-help middle schoolers understand pressures and promote being substance free; SpeakUp Club for Mental Health; Key Club; Beta Club; Green School Environmental Club; Spanish Club; Big Feet Meet station leader Previous Clubs/Activities: Tilt Club-help students with disabilities; buddy for the Big Feet Meet and Jr. Miss Abilities

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I enjoy volunteering and have worked with organizations such as the Big Feet Meet, Jr. Miss Abilities and RVAccess. I think helping others has allowed me to learn more about true teamwork and improved my leadership skills.
