2A Matchday 7’s Best Performers

Her width is a constant danger for opposing defenders, which allowed her to register a wonderful hat-trick. In her team's 8-0 away win, she finished the match as the player with the most goal contributions. She continues to show why she's one of the biggest talents at the 2A level, backing it up with wonderful statistics.     Landon is a talented central midfielder who pierces through the heart of the opposing team. When she gets on the ball, she skips past defenders. Either through knocking the ball forward or exploiting pockets of space, she moves rapidly towards the box. When she gets into the box, she showcases her calm finishing, slotting the ball easily past the goalkeeper. Her forward movements also create spaces for her forwards, who, in turn, also pounce on the opportunities she creates. She is a constant threat who adds an exciting aspect to her team.     Larkin is a deep-lying midfielder who proves to be a crucial player for her team's dynamics. Her physical presence deep in midfield makes her extremely difficult to get past. She is a duel winner in the middle of the park, regaining possession for her team in a vital position on the pitch. When her team is in possession, she contributes importantly in either the buildup or the final pass. Her passing is intelligent, knowing where and when to pass. If she needs to slow down play, she does so wonderfully. If the play calls for quicker movements, she plays quick passes, mostly progressive. When the play does call for returning the pass to recycle the play, she helps do so just as good as she does in advancing the play.     Miranda makes her <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/2025/03/2a-week-1s-best-players/">second appearance</a> in this series, proving how consistent she has been this season. The left-footed left-midfielder is both incredibly intelligent and skillful. Her ability to anticipate plays is great, frustrating teams who regain possession from deep. She also loves to go for tackles in the final third, helping regain possession for her team as far up the field as possible. In attack, she is a constant threat when dribbling. She leaves defenders in the dust either with her pace or her skill. She'll use either whenever the play calls for it, showing how smart she is. Her crosses are also unreal, causing constant havoc for the opposing defenders when she delivers them.     Melanie is a striker who plays with confidence and who proves to be very technically gifted. Even though in this matchday her team narrowly lost, her talent was too good to ignore. When she receives the ball, regardless of where she is on the pitch, she remains very composed. Even if she is under immense pressure, she keeps her cool and resolves any problem she finds herself in. She is a player who loves to advance play, dropping back deep so she can contribute in the play. Her short passes or wide passes always create danger. In the box, she knows how to find the goal easily. The shots she pulls off show how technically gifted she is, pulling off "trivelas" even when she's being rushed.
