Steven has very quick reflexes which allow him to make difficult diving saves. He has sure hands as well, catching the ball well from set pieces with ease. The striker possesses a good reading of the game with his attacking positioning, allowing him to read where the ball is going before any defender and put an effort on goal. He scored a goal over the weekend like this, reading where the ball was going around the box and sent it home. He possesses a nice first touch as well, bringing down goal kicks and long balls with relative ease. From aerial headers off crosses in the box on set pieces or from direct free kicks in the top corner, Elliot gets the ball in the back of the net. He can shoot well with both feet, and can dribble with nice touches using both feet as well. He is a threat to score from anywhere inside 25 yards.
