Defense stalwarts in California 2029 Rankings

There is top talent among the center backs and the outside backs. She makes great decisions on the ball and looks comfortable playing out of the back. She quickly assesses options and picks the right teammate to play the ball to - and hits the correct foot. Agha's key attributes in that part of the game give her an advantage on her peers. Suess is right footed and has a booming kick. She's provided some assists in recent games with her long distance delivery. Suess is a target on corner kicks with her aerial dominance. She is one of the smaller center backs in this ranking, but she is one of the best 1v1 defenders. Quick feet, excellent technique in the tackle, and doesn't dive into challenges, Elster has the tools to be a great defender at the next level. She could improve on her slide tackling and decision-making in that regard. She is good on the ball and often becomes the launching point of the attack for her side. She plays left center back for her club team. The strength to her game is her defending - she matches up well in 1v1 defending. She keeps close contact with the forward and pounces on any bad touch. Rodriguez is also excellent on the ball. She is a great passer and makes good decisions on the ball. Rodriguez has international experience and is currently playing in a tournament in Mexico.
