[player_tooltip player_id="14645" first="Luciano" last="Pechota"], the 2020 Mr. Soccer for Ohio, has verbally committed to Ohio State, according to team sources.
The St. Ignatius and Team Challenger FC midfielder is the state’s top-rated high school-playing senior. Last year, Pechota scored 14 goals and assisted on 12 as St. Ignatius went 21-0 and finished ranked No. 1 in the country. Pechota leads a talented returning class that has St. Ignatius in the <span style="text-decoration: underline;">No. 1 spot to start the 2021 season</span>.
Pechota joins [player_tooltip player_id="29223" first="Tanner" last="Creech"] from Cincinnati and early commits to Ohio State in the Class of 2022.
