The fall high school regular season is getting into its latter stages. We have seen plenty of great performances and breakout performers. In Ohio’s Division I, plenty of elite girls goal scorers have been taking over. Today, we will look at five top goal scorers in Division I who might be under the radar. [player_tooltip player_id="25126" first="Audrey" last="Oliver"], Olentangy, Junior Oliver, currently the state’s top goal scorer in Division I, is a dominant player. Oliver’s film shows that she is a constant threat to the opposing defense. She is a positive, forward-thinking player who always looks to create a chance. Oliver is a right-footed player who has a great left foot. She can cut inside, onto her left, and still get a great connection with the ball. Adelle Francis, Perrysburg, Junior Francis has had a tremendous season at Perrysburg. Through five games this season, Francis has found the back of the net 10 times. Francis is very comfortable playing the role of provider, as well. She has chipped in three assists on the campaign. She is a goal-scoring threat the entire game. [player_tooltip player_id="25265" first="Reagan" last="Ross"], Olentangy, Sophomore While Olentangy’s Oliver will attract a lot of attention from defenders, opponents cannot afford to overlook Ross. She is a fantastic midfielder who loves to get forward. Her movement off the ball is terrific as she does a fantastic job of getting into good positions and putting defenders at a disadvantage. She has been very productive through her first 10 matches this year, tallying nine goals and two assists. Grace Madison, Highland, Freshman Madison is a part of one of the state’s most dynamic attacking duos. She has scored seven goals and tacked on five assists for Highland this year. Although this is only her freshman season, Madison has given fans plenty to be excited about. She is going to continue to develop and get better. [player_tooltip player_id="25086" first="Ella" last="Dinwiddie"], Highland, Junior Completing the aforementioned elite attacking tandem that Highland has is Dinwiddie, a junior. She is not afraid to take a shot from distance and is a great free-kick taker. Dinwiddie is very good on the ball. She loves to pick the ball up and drive at defenders. She contributes a lot even when she does not have the ball at her feet. Dinwiddie showcases great movement. She is a very instinctive player who knows where she needs to be. So far this year, Dinwiddie has racked up seven goals and six assists.
