About Gianna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Fast-paced and aggressive, but also smart and disciplined. I focus on using speed, technical ability, and awareness to create opportunities for my team. I play with speed and power, always looking to attack space, challenge defenders, and finish decisively. My nationally ranked track speed (US Top 100) in both the 800/400m gives me a clear edge on the field to separate, attack, and press.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I play with relentless energy and intensity, always pressing, moving, and looking to make an impact on both sides of the ball. As a creative and dynamic player, I focus on controlling the tempo, making smart passes, and using my vision and technical skills to open up the game. I train year-round as an elite multi-sport athlete, taking no time off. Every session is done with intention and purpose,

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In 2024 (8th grade), I was awarded the MLK Jr Humanitarian Impact Award from Wheeler High School for my contributions and impact within my community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My biggest strengths are leadership, teamwork, and resilience. Competing in both soccer and track has taught me how to push through challenges, encourage my teammates, and perform under pressure. I’ve also learned how to be disciplined and consistent, which carries into everything I do.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was watching my mother battle cancer in 2023 and 2024. During that time, I had to remain focused and consistent in my academics and athletics, which strengthened my mental toughness and gave me perspective on how to overcome adversity.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a college program that values my unique talents as a player, pushes me to compete at the highest level, and gives me the opportunity to make an impact on the team.
