About Maci

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I use my speed and aggression to get past defenders and create opportunities, I have a good first touch and balanced presence on the ball, I am a playmaker with the ability to See passing lanes and I feel comfortable with the ball at my feet the most. I am a lefty and my specialty is the cross from the corner across the mouth of the goal after beating my defender

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mental toughness has been training for many years. My first year in 11v11 I made a platform team and struggled with confidence. I was dropped to a local league team but worked on my skill, coach ability and mental awareness to be able to succeed at the higher level. I was moved back up to my platform level team within my club and secured an important role that impacts my team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Active member of my youth group at church. I am a youth soccer coach for our counties parks and rec program for 3 and 4 year olds I also run cross country and track. My track relay team holds the school record in the 4x200 and the 4x100. I am 3rd in the district for 8th grade cross country and 1st in the district in the 75m hurdles.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have a fierce sense of unity. I have always been labeled a social butterfly and do not enjoy having the spotlight on me but will work with others to be the best team in whatever I do. I am a health and wellness advocate in my school and was nominated to be a mentor because of my positive personality

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was cut from our top team at the u14 level. I stayed with the same club and worked hard to improve my skill set and weaknesses so I could be confident enough to perform at the top level. I was added back to the u16 top team this year and I play an impactful role as a core player and starter.

What type of college are you looking for?

Southern, lots or culture, history and tradition. I would like to attend a larger school, rooted in tradition, where I can be an impactful player in my first two years
