About Kayla

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play primarily defensive mid but also center back. I’m strong on the ball, distribute with accuracy, and can open up play with long passes. I take pride in leading from the back and being the defender my team can count on, especially in tough matchups like 2v1s.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m competitive and composed, with a leadership mentality. I stay calm under pressure, communicate well, and take pride in keeping the team organized and confident.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Junior Honor Society Member Presidents Education Award High Scholastic Award

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As captain of my team, I’ve developed strong leadership and communication skills, keeping the group organized and motivated. I’ve learned the importance of teamwork and setting a positive example both on and off the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A challenge I’ve faced is striving to make the top blue team. Even though I haven’t made it yet, being captain of my current team has taught me how to lead, motivate teammates, and keep improving my own skills. It’s helped me develop persistence, resilience, and a mindset focused on growth and teamwork.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can continue to grow as a student and a soccer player. I want a program that challenges me academically and athletically, with a strong team environment where I can contribute and keep developing my skills.
