About Eric

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a left footed midfielder known for my creative playmaking ability, creating scoring opportunities for forwards with my passing, free kick specialist and finishing ability . I play with a lot of heart and hustle. On the defensive side I am a physical player that likes to slide tackle.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very competitive and always looking to improve. I love going to practice whether that's either with my team, playing pick up or myself. I work hard, stay coachable, and keep a positive attitude and my team first.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I currently work as a server at Cracker- Barrell in additional to playing club soccer full time and a student.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and discipline through soccer and school, and preparing for military service. As amid, I’ve learned how to communicate, stay composed under pressure, and put the team’s success above my own. Balancing academics with athletics has taught me time management and perseverance.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I suffered a stress fracture on my back making me unable to play soccer for four months. It was a very difficult time as I couldn't play soccer or work out. At first I struggled with depression but over time began to develop true discipline shifting my mindset entirely and recovering to come back towards end of my club season.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for colleges that combine strong academics with opportunities to play competitive soccer and possibly even participate in ROTC. Ideally, I want a school that values teamwork, leadership, and offers a supportive community where I can grow both athletically and academically.
