Sanchez is a right back on the De Anza Force 2012 MLS Next team. He has been a star through the first few months of the season. He’s been excellent defensively – especially in 1v1 duels when he can stand up wingers and cleanly win possession of the ball. More importantly for his team, he’s also found the back of the net a few times too. He’s not the type of outside back who is always flying into the attack. He’s smart about assessing the opportunity and then ruthless when the chance is open. Sanchez has clearly thrown his name into consideration as one of the best outside backs in California in the 2030 class.
