She’s a great shot-stopper, but her ability with the ball at her feet is what is going to get attention from top college scouts. She’s really comfortable playing off her line and being the outlet in possession for her team. She is good with the ball at her feet and doesn’t rush decisions. There’s still room to grow there, but the development she’s shown in that area should be getting her consistent looks at the Youth National Team level.

Out of possession, Maya is constantly following the play and does well to communicate what she sees in front of her. She is brave and willing to come off her line to make a save. Her ability to drop down for lower shots is great and she can hold onto a ball. Additionally, Hamrick showed that she can judge a bounce well under pressure.

On the ball, her passes in good and she appears confident with the ball at her feet. Notably, Maya has good punts and her teammates are able to keep possession from her distributions.
