About Andrew

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a vocal keeper who is able to communicate effectively with my defensive line and deal with through balls effectively. I am a good shot stopper, effective in 1-on-1s, and am able to deal with crosses. I play confidently as I trust the work I have put in and my abilities. I am quick off my line and control my space well.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality centers around my work ethic. In school, on the field, in the gym, and at home I strive to be the best I can be at everything I do. Second best is never my goal. I work hard to maintain my grades while being consistent in the gym and putting extra practice hours in.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in NHS, Student Council, and Boy Scouts and I am working to complete my Eagle Scout rank in the next month.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel that I have grown to be an effective communicator and leader. I was captain this past season and I led with my actions and words. I tried to build up and teach others what I knew to help them grow, as they are the future of our team. My leadership and communication also grew through Scouts and Student council as I held leadership positions in both.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a strong engineering program, so I can also complete the major I want to while playing soccer. I also would like to find a college where I feel at home in the culture of the school and team.
