ECNL Texas - Day 2 Standouts

<p>After a rough start with heavy rain and matches cancelled on Saturday, the ECNL Girls national event in Texas continued on Sunday, with better weather conditions and matches going on all day long in Dallas.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/2026/02/ecnl-texas-day-2-photos-2/">ECNL Texas - Day 2 Photos</a></strong></li> </ul>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/p/DUzRvm0jiQs/?img_index=1 </div></figure>   <p>On the second day of action, Prep Soccer focused on the 2011 age group, attending eight matches of the age group held at the Toyota Soccer Center, in Frisco. Here are the standouts from each of those encounters:</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[program_tooltip program_id='283497' first='Sting' last='Austin'] G11 3 - 0 Eastside FC G11</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[program_tooltip program_id='283497' first='Sting' last='Austin'] had a strong offensive performance against Eastside, but their defensive solidity didn't go unnoticed, nor Alley's influence on it. Playing in the center of the back three, the defender led them to a clean sheet, making the most of her excellent positioning and defensive instincts. Alley made many stops inside and around the penalty box, but also did well when she had to defend in space, keeping them under pressure and reading their plays with great accuracy. She also had a major role in possession, moving off the ball to offer an option for them and confidently asking for the ball and connecting quick passes that got them out of pressure.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0022.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-350437" /></figure>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sting Black G11 1 - 1 Sporting Blue Valley G11</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Lee was involved in most of Sting Black's attacking plays against Sporting Blue Valley, showing great quality on the ball and creativity. An attacking midfielder, she was very difficult to stop because of her intelligence and her ability to use both feet to dribble, pass and shoot. Lee scored her team's goal with a beautiful left-footed shot from outside the penalty box that went into the upper corner and fed her teammates with great passes in the final third. She also did very well in set pieces, providing great service and creating chances for her team.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[program_tooltip program_id='283243' first='Albion' last='Hurricanes FC'] G11 2-0 PacNW SC G11</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Bunting was among the many attacking options for Albion in the match, and she stood out with her intensity and excellent decision-making. She was heavily involved in the team's playmaking, dropping around the midfield line to get on the ball and contributing ot their offense with direct runs and solid passing. Bunting was very good with her decisions on the ball, always picking the best option and making her team's attacking plays run smoothly. She also had a good presence inside the penalty box, appearing in nice spots to finish chances.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0121_f2f4a5.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-350461" /></figure>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[program_tooltip program_id='283311' first='Dallas' last='Texans'] G11 4-0 FSA FC G11</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Playing on the left side of the Texans' attack, Guzman was a constant threat to FSA and had strong contributions in her team's comfortable victory. She scored the team's first goal in the match with a banger in a play in which she drifted inside and appeared almost on the right side. Guzman did a good job of staying wide and stretching the field and used her excellent footwork to beat defenders off the dribble and push forward. She sent some nice crosses into the box and also showed great vision to deliver diagonal passes behind the backline. The winger was very disciplined defensively, tracking back to help and making stops all the way back near her team's end line.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0097.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-350454" /></figure>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">SLSG Green G11 2-0 [program_tooltip program_id='283317' first='[program_tooltip program_id='280767' first='DKSC' last='']' last=''] G11</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Longo had a strong performance in midfield and helped SLSG control the center of the field to win the game. A tall and strong player, she used her physical tools very well to shield the team's backline, winning duels and intercepting passes over the top. Longo also did a good job of drifting wide to cover her teammates and challenge opponents, being very efficient at boxing them near the sidelines and forcing them back. The midfielder showed nice quality to support her team's offense as well, passing the ball intelligently in the attacking half and firing some nice shots on goal, combining power and precision.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0150_4b0058.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-350469" /></figure>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Solar SC G11 2-0 FC Stars Blue G11</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Ramos was very good on the left side for Solar and was one of the standouts in their solid victory. She spent most of the match at left back and was one of their main attacking weapons. Instead of staying wide, she brought the ball inside and pushed it upfield with strong, direct runs through the middle, releasing at the right time to find her teammates in good spots in the final third. Ramos also did solid defensive work for her team, being very firm to win duels and doing a great job of avoiding passes in behind. She moved up to left midfielder during the match and continued to contribute offensively, sending good crosses into the box.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0198_3f7239.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-350479" /></figure>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">SLSG Navy G11 2-1 [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC'] G11</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Smith had a key role in SLSG's victory, leading her team's offensive efforts with technical quality and interesting athletic tools. She was primarily a left winger for them, but roamed all over the final third to get on the ball and make plays. Smith had some good runs out wide, showing nice pace and dribbling skills, while also using her body to shield the ball. She was excellent with her positioning off the ball, following plays and popping up in the right spot to get involved. In one of those plays, she made a diagonal run from the left and received the ball inside the box, scoring the team's first goal with a first-time shot.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0221.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-350484" /></figure>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] G11 3-0 Bethesda SC G11</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">While many different players stood out in [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas']'s strong offensive display, Auns shone the brightest in their defensive effort, which earned a clean sheet. The right-sided center back was flawless, dominating opponents inside and around the penalty box. She was very tough in duels, using her physical tools extremely well, but also dominated in the air and showed superior mobility and quickness to make plays and challenge opponents in open space.
