Prep Soccer was in Dallas over that weekend, watching matches and looking at part of the thousands of players who got on the field during the event. On Saturday, we were at the Toyota Soccer Center, in Frisco, following matches of the 2010 age group. We've been featuring the players who did a good job in their matches, and we finalize our selections with the forwards:

Moreno was part of the Kansas City Athletics team that secured a win and a tie in Texas. She was one of their most dangerous players in a 2-1 win over [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC']. Playing as a left winger, Moreno was very aggressive and direct in possession, going at defenders and making plays out wide. The winger did well when bringing the ball inside and using her preferred right foot to pass and shoot. Moreno also demonstrated superior tactical discipline, consistently getting back to help on defense.

Cleveland and her [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC'] team had a win and a loss in the showcase. She scored their lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Kansas City Athletics and was a constant threat up top for them. A striker, Cleveland showed great movement in the final third, finding ways to get involved in the team's playmaking. She worked well with her back to the goal, but also did well when she dropped deeper, getting the ball from the defenders and initiating the team's attacking plays. The forward also made nice runs behind the backline, and, in one of them, found herself in a great spot to score the team's goal.

Sadler's NC Courage team had a couple of ties and a loss in the Texas event. She had a solid performance in their 2-0 loss to Sting Black, generating her team's best attacking plays in the match. Sadler was used as a second forward and was the focal point of their offense. She managed to repeatedly push the ball upfield, making turns on defenders right after the midfield line and following up on that with strong runs through the middle.

Rios featured for the Sting Black side that triumphed in both their matches in the event. She made a difference for them in a 2-0 win over NC Courage, scoring her team's first goal in the match. Rios was used in the No. 9 role in that match, but didn't limit her game to getting on the end of plays, instead dropping back and drifting wide to make on the ball and help create chances. She was excellent with her vision, consistently finding teammates in great spots in the final third. Rios did very well in the play in which she scored, getting on the end of a low cross on the back post and timing her run very well to remain onside.

Ross was with the [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] team that had a win and a tie over the weekend. She was excellent in their 1-1 tie with SLSG Navy, scoring the goal that leveled the score when her team was down a player. A wide player, she was very intense and intelligent with her movement off the ball, consistently offering a passing option to her teammates in the final third. Ross made some good runs out wide and helped her team create chances despite being down a player. She scored a beautiful goal, bringing the ball inside from the right and firing an amazing left-footed shot into the upper corner.
