Kate Weigand plays as a midfielder and as a forward for Penn Fusion SA ECNL G11. She is a hardworking and smart attacking player that has a positive impact when she is on the pitch. She scored the goal in the final and created a number of chances over the playoffs.

Weigand is a center midfielder on the Penn Fusion 2011 ECNL team. She has been part of the Gotham FC Talent ID events. She’s also been a frequent call-up to the US Soccer Talent ID events. She was a Second Team All-State selection for high school as a freshman.

Weigand is a high activity midfielder who will get involved in the attack. She covers a ton of ground during the game and can pop up as a box-to-box midfielder or an attacking midfielder. She has a nose for the goal and often puts herself into key spots to exploit the opposition. She’s been a key player for the Penn Fusion side.
