I10-I20 Blast Tournament: Girls Preview

Since the 2007-2008 school year, the I10-I20 Blast event has been a measuring stick for teams across the state of Mississippi, and this year will be no different. Some of the top state contenders will be participating Friday, Jan. 7, and Saturday, Jan. 8, in this event at the Gulfport Sportsplex in Gulfport, Miss. FAB 50-ranked Gulfport highlights the girls team participants. Gulfport is 14-0-1 and ranked No. 24 in the recent FAB 50 winter rankings. Talent will be all over the fields of Gulfport this weekend. Among the notable players that will get plenty of attention is senior and reigning Gatorade Mississippi Player of the Year and Ole Miss signee [player_tooltip player_id="29375" first="Kate" last="Smith"]. She will be accompanied by teammates Abby Badurak (2023, Southern Miss commit) and Mary France Symmes (2023, ECNL Birmingham, NC State commit).
