About Sasha

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Smart, technical defensive midfielder who reads the game well, communicates constantly, and helps organize the team. Strong positional awareness, comfortable in possession, and committed to supporting teammates by filling gaps and maintaining team shape.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a team-oriented player who leads through communication, effort, and a strong understanding of the game. I enjoy helping organize teammates, solving problems on the field, and staying positive in difficult moments. I am coachable, driven to improve, and committed to doing whatever helps the team perform at its best.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Midwest United FC Girls Academy player. Also participates in futsal with Grand Rapids Ole woman’s team, which has helped develop quick decision-making, creativity, and technical confidence in tight spaces.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership, communication, and teamwork skills through soccer and futsal. As a midfielder, I work to organize players around me, read the game, and support the team by filling gaps defensively and helping connect play. I am coachable, competitive, and focused on making the players around me better.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge I have faced is learning to adapt to increasingly competitive environments as I have progressed in soccer. Each new level has required me to improve technically, physically, and mentally. There were times when I had to work through setbacks and continue developing my confidence. What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a medium-to-large university with strong academics, competitive athletics, and a supportive campus culture. I want a school where I can challenge myself academically while continuing to grow as a soccer player. A warm-weather location, opportunities for leadership and involvement, and strong career preparation programs are also important to me.
