ECNL Florida: U17 Top Performers from the Ohio Valley

U17s from the Ohio Valley Conference fared well at the ECNL Florida Showcase. These players stood out amongst the competition.
<strong>D [player_tooltip player_id="26176" first="Avery" last="Brown"] (Tennessee Soccer Club) -</strong> stepped into the center back position and solidified the defense in a 3-1 victory vs Heat FC.
<strong>M Emma Buttera (Internationals SC) - </strong>kept good team shape and won the ball multiple times in 1v1 situations against Sting Austin.
<strong>F [player_tooltip player_id="26177" first="Katie" last="Shea Collins"] (Tennessee Soccer Club-</strong> scored an assist during the National Selection Game and finished the weekend with 2 goals and 3 assists.
<strong>F/M [player_tooltip player_id="25101" first="Addysen" last="Cusick"] (Internationals) -</strong> did well to help maintain possession and counterattacks in a 1-1 tie against Sting Austin.
<strong>F [player_tooltip player_id="22273" first="Carly" last="Gilbert"] (FC Pride) -</strong> was a threat to score throughout the game vs Loudoun Soccer finishing with a goal and an assist.
<strong>GK Lexi Grunder (Tennessee Soccer Club) - </strong>was solid in the net during the first half vs FC Stars Blue making two huge saves.
<strong>M [player_tooltip player_id="22287" first="Ella" last="Hamner"] (FC Pride) - </strong>was difficult to contain vs. Midwest United FC with a mix of distributing and driving deep throughout the game.
<strong>D [player_tooltip player_id="22328" first="Kamryn" last="Hoyda"] (FC Pride) - </strong>effort on the back line could not go unnoticed and was a big part of why FC Pride conceded only one goal in three games.
<strong>GK [player_tooltip player_id="37262" first="Peyton" last="Hull"] (FC Pride) -</strong> finished the weekend with two shutouts. Her nine saves preserved a 0-0 tie against Midwest United FC.
<strong>M [player_tooltip player_id="25191" first="Grace" last="Jackson"] (Internationals) - </strong>played an outstanding vs. Pipeline SC and was rewarded with a goal late in the game.
<strong>D [player_tooltip player_id="25225" first="Kylie" last="Jicha"] (Internationals) - </strong>played a huge role by winning possession in the defensive third vs. Sporting Iowa.
<strong>M [player_tooltip player_id="22353" first="Lucia" last="Johnson"] (FC Pride) - </strong>was solid throughout the weekend playing defensive mid, attacking mid, and forward. Her craftiness on the ball boggled defenders.
<strong>D/F [player_tooltip player_id="25207" first="Josephine" last="Owen Kren"] (Internationals) - </strong>showed the ability to play as a back and as a forward contributing at both positions throughout the weekend.
<strong>M Gabriella Lamparty (Internationals) - </strong>brought life to her team with an unbelievable equalizing goal vs Pipeline SC. She would later score again in the 3-1 victory.
<strong>F Bella Macaso (Tennessee Soccer Club) -</strong> scored three out of seven TSC goals over the weekend.
<strong>F Avery May (Kings Hammer SC)-</strong> finished the showcase with an amazing five goals in three games.
<strong>M [player_tooltip player_id="25220" first="Kayla" last="Perfect"] (Internationals) - </strong>played with great energy throughout the game against Pipeline SC and finished with a beautiful assist on the game winning goal.
<strong>GK Victoria Safadrin (Internationals) -</strong> one of the top keepers in the nation in the U17 age group. She was the difference maker in all three games for the Internationals who went 2-0-1.
<strong>F Amanda Schlueter (Kings Hammer SC) - </strong>netted a hat trick and an assist against Scorpions Soccer. She finished the weekend with five goals.
<strong>F Olivia Sipcock (Internationals) - </strong>was a constant threat to watch going forward in the attack against Sting Austin.
<strong>D [player_tooltip player_id="22255" first="Anna" last="Spellacy"] (FC Pride) - </strong>led a strong defensive effort in a tight game vs Sting Austin. Her free kicks were a challenge to defend.
<strong>D [player_tooltip player_id="25214" first="Karlie" last="Sugar"] (Internationals) -</strong> dominated 1v1 defending in a 3-2 victory over Sporting Iowa.
<strong>Defenders Abbey Unkraut, Aliana Weibel, and Ella Smith (Kings Hammer SC) - </strong>were exceptional against a strong Richmond United Attack while preserving a 3-0 shutout victory.
<strong>F/M [player_tooltip player_id="22407" first="Talia" last="Whitesel"] (FC Pride) -</strong> scored a brilliant goal on a perfect cross from <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="22409" first="Tatum" last="Coleman"]</strong> to make the score 3-1 against Loudoun Soccer.
<strong>F [player_tooltip player_id="22371" first="Mia" last="Winters"] (FC Pride) - </strong>got the game winner against Loudoun Soccer by beating the keeper in a 1v1.
