California 2029 Rankings Update: New Names Climbing the Board

The updated Prep Soccer state rankings for the California 2029 class will be unveiled next week. Prior to the release of the new rankings, check out a scouting report on some of the new names and players rising in the rankings following the postseason events and showcase ID camps.    Dritz is a talented attacking talent. She is a midfielder and can play any role in the midfield. She was outstanding as a playmaker and finisher at the high school level as a freshman with a double-digit contribution in both goals and assists.   Dritz is a tough player to defend 1v1. She's good on either foot - both on the dribble and striking the ball. She's also got a quick release on her shot so she can finish chances in the blink of an eye.   Dritz impressed last season with her club play and earned a spot on the ECNL All-Conference First Team for the U16 age group. She is a forward who offers the quality to play with her back to the goal and also has the pace to get in behind the defense with a blink of an eye.   It's been a busy summer for Green. After earning a starring role with Slammers Koge, she was named to the ECNL All-Conference First Team. She also earned a call-up to the Australia U17 Women's Youth National Team.   Green has all of the tools to be a top talent in this class at a national level. The SVSA goalkeeper has been busy this year. She was called up to the U.S. Youth National Team. She also earned a spot on the Girls Academy National Talent ID event.   She is listed as 5-foot-6 on her player profile, but she certainly plays bigger than that in the game. There were moments when she was unbeatable during the GA Talent ID event. She's got exceptional instincts for shot-stopping and a natural feel for shutting down the striker in a breakaway situation. She was a standout during the postseason run for the club in Seattle. Ellison is five-foot-seven with athleticism. She is a leader on the field and wears the captain's armband for her club team.   She lines up as the right center back for San Juan. She can play any spot along the back four. Ellison is a defender with the mobility to track a forward into the channels and shut them down in 1v1 situations. She's a perfect fit for a team that wants to push numbers forward and depend on the center back to shut down the counter.     Seo is the captain of the Beach FC 2011 ECNL team. She was a standout during the ECNL postseason event in Seattle. She's a skillful midfielder who can play as a box-to-box midfielder or a defensive midfielder.   She's got a good first touch and savvy tactical awareness. She is a capable finisher from outside of the box with either foot. Seo is comfortable playing out of tight spaces and has the confidence on the ball to break pressure with ease. She's a smart player who can play to match the college speed of the game.
